Weezer - Hero

Not really keen on this - which I know is completely contrary to the point of the blog - but I leave it here as a curio/discussion point. Heard it on the radio yesterday and the DJ said it was a band he'd listened to a lot in his youth and they were back but sounding very different... without saying who it was before playing it. Whilst it was on I was guessing bands like Feeder or Blink 182.

Weird Fishes

Obviously helped by being a great tune; but I'm liking this cover version a lot...

Wednesday 15 July 2020

Colin Robinson

Who's been watching the second series of "What We Do in the Shadows"? I think it's much stronger than the first. The above episode, where Colin Robinson gets a promotion, being the highlight.

Thursday 4 June 2020

Teevee

...what I have watched in the last couple of months and would recommend. All Netflix apart from Normal People.

Normal People
The end of the f**cking world
The haunting of Hill House
After Life (ok)
Funny Cow
Unorthdox

Knives Out Trailer

Rented this from Blockbusters Google Play last night.
Agatha Christie homage - well worth a look. The leading lady is easy on the eye
too.

Friday 6 March 2020

Keeley Forsyth - Start Again

The latest track from the production line that is "stuff I've heard on RadMac playback on a weekday morning and like".

Wednesday 19 February 2020

Spiteri

This has been getting plenty of airplay on 6 Music: but I'm always glad to hear it.

Sunday 16 February 2020

Tame Impala - Lost In Yesterday

New album came out last Friday, worth a few of yer Spotify listens. I think this is my favourite track.

Wednesday 12 February 2020

EOB - Brasil

This is rather nice. I like to imagine Thom dropped into the studio towards the end and forced him to put some drum machine on it.

Sunday 9 February 2020

Gengahr - Heavenly Maybe

They don't deviate too far from a template....but I really like the template.

What We Do in the Shadows

Have started watching this, I think it's on BBC iplayer. Matt Berry doing his thing, yer man from Fonejacker doing a very funny voice.
