Get The Foals album. I think you would all like it.

I'll go first then

As ever, all subject to change...

Best Album
James Blake - Overgrown
These New Puritans – Field of Reeds
Toy – Join the Dots
Arctic Monkeys - AM
Johnny Marr – The Messenger (Released in 2012. I don’t care.)

Best Song
Arcade Fire – Reflektor

Best Musical Re-discovery
Echo and the Bunnymen – Ocean Rain

Best Film
But late to it, but In Bruges

Best Book
Tyler Hamilton – The Secret Race

Best Gig/Event
“Project Archie”. Me Rachel and others organised kids from local schools to sing with a local band about New Mills’ reverse-Archimedes screw

Best TV Programme
Not one but BBC4 Friday night rockumentaries in general

Best Radio Programme
I’m going for Shaun Keavney, but urge you to listen to Jarvis Cocker, Giles Peterson and, surprisingly, Cerys Matthews.

Best Website
Spotify. Never thought I would, but I buy into the “any album you want to play ever (except The Best of the Beatles)” idea.

Best Sporting Moment
We won the Ashes and the Tour De France, and got to the Cup Final - and all left me a bit cold. But I didn’t realise I wanted Andy Murray to win Wimbledon as much as I evidently did in the last game.

Revelation
The Who – Tommy. Thought it would rock opera tosh. It’s not.

Worst Purchase / Disappointment
The film Sightseers. Shite.

Best Child-Related Thing
£1 movies on Saturday morning.

Best Lifestyle Change
Minor, but not always doing every activity as a complete family group.

Sort
Rachel Riley. Imagine my disappointment when she turned out to be very average at dancing.

I’m going to re-pair Jo Whiley and Steve Lamacq for this one.

The Winning Thing You’d Most Recommend Your Fellow Judges to Own/Have/Consume/Do
Spotify/wider 6 Music DJs for broader music consumption.
