It's a bit John Lewis Christmas advert for me. My favourite things about the original are the wall of sound guitars and Thom's plaintive vocal, obviously neither of which are here.
Ah yes: I remember watching it at the time. Weird Fishes is my favourite song on my favourite Radiohead album. Though I don't think that makes it my favourite Radiohead song.
Intriguing. Going further down the Radiohead rabbit hole - the YouTube autoplay followed up with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8nQkuBlKnM which is a bit of a gem...
sigh ... *notification bump*

According to my email archive, at some point pre 2010 we all did a Radiohead Top 10 songs list but the actual content is lost.
ReplyDeleteI seem to recall "Steve" and I went for "Let Down" and he went for "Reckoner" as his In Rainbows favourite. But no more [sad face].
I recall. I knew you were a "Let Down' fan. I think I went for 'Pyramid Song'. I'd probably stick by that today...
ReplyDeleteHere is Thom Yorke talking about his favourite Radiohead song...the URL is something of a giveaway. I assume this was in my top 10 as it is superb.
