Great Picture

Great caption.

Mystery Jets

I'm conflicted about this. Most of it I like, it's very Future Islands - ish. But then there's a bit that sounds like a bit x-factory/1-D ish.

Dermot

I accidentally listened to Dermot O'Leary on Saturday.

Anyhoo, Steve Mason was on with this rather excellent cover:

Middle aged men doing etc etc and so on

Wolf Alice

Surprised myself with this one. Got the album as an Xmas present and initially thought it was OK, but probably one for the kids. But after a few listens it's really impressed me. Consistently good songs across the full album. Loads of obvious influences but channeled really well. Could have chosen any track to include here...

Mould

As there's been a flurry of blog activity I thought I'd join in. I was a big fan of Sugar's Copper Blue back in the day - so I'm pleased to see that Bob Mould is sounding very much like Bob Mould on his new track...

Peej

Unsurprisingly good.

Diiv

I don't like the spelling and it's VERY derivative... But if you can forgive all that, it's a decent single.

Fat (Harry) White Family

This is great.

For whatever reason the blog won't let me select the offical video. But whilst SFW, it is still quite disturbing, so maybe for the best.

Mystery Jets - Telomere

I can't change the template from 2014 to 2016, anyone?

Anyway, this is a change in direction from the Young Love/2 Doors Down era...but this is very nice.
